The Goodwill
If you don’t know us yet, don’t worry you will soon enough. We are Apocalyptic Sisters, or as most people know us, Casey & Nikki. We have always loved to be silly and have fun, while also teaching and sharing with people. One day we had the bright idea to start making regular trips to the Goodwill where we could decompress and let off some steam. That sounds pretty weird when I say that out loud, who goes to the Goodwill to destress? Well, sometimes, we do!
You may be wondering how the Goodwill is a place of decompression. Don’t worry, I will tell you. Here goes! The guidelines for this trip was to pick out an outfit for the other person to wear, it’s best if the clothing is something the other person doesn’t normally wear since that can be rather hilarious. Sometimes, however, we will also be serious because the Goodwill, is legitimate, a great place to find awesome digs at a super low cost.
For this trip, we decided to be silly. It was a rainy day that turned into snow and we had a crazy morning driving to pick up a dresser nobody wanted, which we also didn’t want at the end (that’s a whole other story). Nikki thought it would be a great idea for us to also pick out a dress for each other, now if you know me, you know I don’t do dresses. In Nikki’s defense, I did try to get her to wear a cutoff shirt with super short daisy dukes to which she blatantly refused, but it was worth a shot!
As you can tell from the smiles on our faces, we had a great time! Nikki even ended up buying the blue shirt on the far right. I actually thought the outfit in the middle for me didn’t look half bad, that is until the jacket started itching like crazy. The pants were a circus to put on and we did get a kick out of our antics. Don’t ask me what I’m doing in the pic below, those pants were something else.
All in all, we had a great time and felt much better leaving than when we arrived. If you ever want to find quality clothing at great deals or just want to have some fun, check out your local Goodwill Store. Don’t forget, they also take donations, so if you have items you need to get rid of you can rest assured you’re helping a great cause.
